Around the house there is the garden- The front garden has a driveway(we have 2 cars including a 4x4 parked on it) Also in the front garden we have a large weeping willow and a couple of smaller trees and shrubs, including Elder, Butterfly bush,a grapevine growing up by the side of the door.The lawn there is covered in swathes of spring flowers including wild garlic and bluebells. The side garden is mainly laid to lawn,but we have several borders(herbs, flowers such as foxgloves etc and a narrow border running the length of the house with strawberries running throughout it, lavender, spring bulbs etc. The back garden we haven't really done any work to since we moved here two years ago so needs a lil bit of TLC but it includes a deceptively large shed and many climbing plants(honeysuckle,clematis,Virginia creeper,jasmine etc and it has a paved patio area. Side and back gardens are very private. Inside the house there is a large living/dining room with an open fire, patio window to rear garden. The kitchen is a nice size and has recently been replaced, it includes a pantry with a door leading to the back garden. Also there is a downstairs loo. Upstairs there are 3 pretty good sized bedrooms and a bathroom with a shower and WC. There is also a hatch to the loft area. In the area around us we are surrounded by beautiful countryside, 5 mins drive to the beach, 20 mins to just about anywhere on the island, ie Ryde, Newport, Shanklin, West Wight etc. We're a minute from open fields ideal for playing children and exercising dogs. There is also a grass playing area for children within a minutes walk. Within two mins walk there is a local shop that sells lots of things including coal,video/dvd rental, food, drink etc and has key/card charging facilities and a post office. There is bus stops by the store and a phone box. Primary school 5 mins drive max and area is serviced by school buses to middle and high schools. Dr's surgery's are within 5/10 min drive. This will be a hard house to leave but we're feeling a strong urge to move to the mainland. We are looking to move no sooner than the summer holidays as our teenage son is beginning his exams. We would be interested in ideally a 3 bed property in Somerset(western half), but would consider a large 2 bed if it was perfect for us in every other way. It also has to have a decent sized gardens and kitchen as these are the two places I spend most of my time! lol Thanks

The estate is mainly a private estate, that backs onto hills and farmland (the estate that is, not the house) and there is a national cycle route that takes you out into the country if you fancy a bit of nature. The town is in walking distance (about 15 mins) Doctors, shops, schools, small library, vets etc. Close by is a childrens playing park and a lovely area for walking dogs where you can go up into the hills. There is also a regular bus service to Taunton, Yeovil, Axminster, Chard and surrounding villages. We are not far from the East Devon border, the Blackdown Hills and the coast. The house is newly carpeted, with neutral decoration. The kitchen is small but adequate, and there is a lounge/diner, and downstairs WC. The upstairs has 2 good sized bedrooms, and a bathroom/WC. It has GCH, DG and water is on a meter. The back garden is gravelled with a large shed which we would leave. There is also plenty of off road parking. Email: joycarter23@btinternet.comWe have a 3 bed in Tintinhull. Well, it was a three bed but we have made it into 5! UPSTAIRS = The master bedroom has been split into 2. This is only done with stud work and can easily be removed by us, or left if you choose! This has made the kids bedrooms quite small but has allowed the children their own spaces. The middle bedroom is used as a double room, which happily houses a double bed, and wardrobes. The box room is small (arent they all?)but use of space has been sorted by building a wardrobe over the stair box, with 2 hanging rails and three big storage shelves. The bathroom is on this level with white suite and over head shower. DOWNSTAIRS = The biggest room, which was a through lounge diner, has been converted into 2 rooms, by putting up a dividing wall. This makes the lounge smaller, but cosy, and alot warmer. The other half of this room, which was the dining end, is also split again into 2, for another childs bedroom, and a computer area. The bedroom is big enough for a cabin bed, wardrobe and chest, and could be made bigger if the office section was removed. again this is all stud work and easily removed. but it is nice to have the computer in its own space! The kitchen unfortunatly is small, which is the houses biggest downfall. but space has been used as best as possible. The top cupboards are larger than normal, with 3 internal shelves, but it does give more storage. Our kitchen actually is bigger than the neighbours because.... Off of the kitchen we have built a wooden extention for extra space. Its covers 13 square metres so is a good size. it has 3 double glazed windows and a door to the garden. In this extension we have a utility area, where i have the washing machine, the tumble dryer, the fridge freezer and another top and base unit. it gives us much needed space and is an asset. The other half of this extention is used as a dining area. OUTSIDE = The front garden has space for 2 cars, and is concreted and gravelled for low maintenance. The back garden is a nice size and easily managable, but not as big as it originally was, as we have built the extention into it like i said before, but looks smaller than it actually is as the pond area is fenced off, so it would be much bigger if that was gone! beyond the garden is an area for growing veggies. The garden may need a little work, to bring up to its best, but it certainly isnt a totally neglected space. This house was originally of concrete construction, but was re-bricked in 2006, so has good insulation, and a new front and back door. The windows are double glazed. Downside, only storage heaters for heating, as no gas in this area. Great views out the back. just fields, so good for dog walks. Primary school 10 minute walk away. Park just down the road. i find it a good place to live. We are at the end of a cul de sac so no through traffic. The children play outside most of the time in good weather, either in the street or down the park. It is great for children! all the neighbours are fine. We all know one anothers kids, so feel comfortable letting the children out. we are looking for areas with a retained fire station, so Martock, Castle cary, ilminster, crewkerne, cheddar, burnham, somerton, street, glastonbury, poss bridgwater depending on area.
