Restrictions are that you must be over 60 or have a disability to move into this property. I recently decorated throughout last month June 2010. In the other direction you have battersea and Clapham. Clapham is great for night life and dinning. Walking home distance or short cheap cab ride!! (no need for the ol drink driving!!) The building itsself is lovely, 70/80's build i think, video entry, beautifully kept communal gardens front and rear, a park across the road, basketball court around the back, housing office around the back, permit only parking (£5 a year with all documents, you get a visitors permit too free that can go in any car and lasts a year also) lovely neighbours, newly professionally laid floors, double glazing, central heating, sercurity door(really cool) 3 dead bolt doorthat locks into the top bottom and normal side of the door! I am looking for something in the northern part of london/herts to move closer to my family, I love the south, I truly have never had any problems. actually i had my car broken into once but that was because my boyfriend left his sat nav in the window and that is just silly but in 8 years that not bad!!! but I miss my family and would like to move more north, need a bit of country side too. The flat's location is right on the bottom of Lynmouth Road, Reading which is off Vastern Road, Reading behind Reading Railway Station. This studio flat is clean, and what is described as a blank canvas with magnolia paint throughout. RBC (Reading borough Council) the landlords have sent a letter to me confirming that before the end of this year, the kitchen will be updated, and refitted to tenant's choice and plumbing work will be done so a washing machine can be installed into kitchen. Previously the estate had a washing room for tenents but this is no longer the case. Also although I have not seen this is writing, the bathrooms are due for a upgrade as soon as all kitchens in the block has been finished. It is a very peaceful estate with good neighbours. there is a residents car park, which you will in the near future need to get a permit. As I have said previously if I was to settle I would remove the cream carpet as it shows up stains!! so you have been warned, but I think the location will override small issues like the carpet!! I am looking to start afresh in London area, and would appreciate a similar studio flat, one bedroom property with similar plus points as mine. 1.quiet neighbours, location. 2. close to good transport links particually to central London. 3.Pets allowed as part of tenancy.
