Hi All, We have a large 3 bed semi-detached council house, with dining room, in a quiet residential street, in what is probably one of the best parts of Gravesend, in Kent. (Postcode is DA12 4EB). We are located, in a much sought-after area, just on the outskirts of town, about 2 miles from town centre, in the area adjacent to the bottom of Thong Lane, close to all local amenities (Shops, post-offices, surgeries, Dentists, Church, community centre, leisure centre & swimming pool (Cascades), golf course etc. & most major bus routes & several primary & secondary schools. This is the heart of the Thames-Gateway Regeneration Project, & the town is having much investment & improvement, from the 'Heritage Quarter' to the new 'Fast-Track' bus system for improved public transport. A lot of the houses around here are privately owned. It takes years & good luck to get housed in this area, by the council, & once here most people do not move again - so properties are seldom, if ever, empty around here - & certainly not for long; people tend to stay in these houses for life, because it is such a nice area. The rear garden is fully enclosed & backed onto by other gardens, so is more secure. There is some beautiful countryside, 5 minutes walk from our house, & we are classed as semi-rural. Wanted: We would like a similar property, or larger, with central heating & double-glazing, gardens front & back. A driveway &/or garage would be nice. We would prefer rural/coastal/seaside & non-estate, if possible. We do have pets, so the prospective property must be suitable & pets must be allowed. It must be a quiet area. We have a genuine reason for wanting to move (for a fresh start).
