About my home in The Lake District. The town is known as the little town with the big heart and the people here are so friendly, it really is a quiet and breathtaking place to live. We are surrounded by mountains and lakes and have a small mountain out side our house. We are close to Windermere and other tourist places but as we are on the edge of the District we do not get swamped by them. The population is mainly older but there is a lot going on for kids like festivals and a wonderful community spirit where young and old get involved in things. We are a mile from the beautiful coastline with the nature reserve Walney Island just up the road. Beautiful canal walks. All amenities. We have a bathroom, seperate toilet which could easily be made into a wet room, seperate dining room, utility room. It has ramps to back and front door and disabled handles in bathroom. Back and front garden that could easily be made into a double drive, just never bothered as we park on the road outside the house. Decor is all new, laminate throughout downstairs and upstairs except stairs and 2 rooms with sanded and varnished floorboards, but I do have the rest in the shed. Amazing place! I have a ground floor flat only 6 months old in Banbury close to everything you need shops,train staion,bus staion, schools,hospital and the M40. The flat is on a new small estate which is mainly private flats. The flat is on the ground floor it has 2 bedrooms which both have built in wardrobes.The bathroom has a shower over the bath, heated towelrail, half tiled around the bath which are a bluey/grey,lights are halogen ceiling. The lounge and kitchen are open plan.kitchen units are in birch,slate worktops and breakfast bar. cushison flooring.The flat is carpeted in a natural colour. there is a large storage cupboard in the hall way.
